NFL MVP Chase through December 16, 2019

A player earns an MVP point if:
  • His team wins the game
  • He personally had a good game in the win. It doesn't have to be a "great" game; for a quarterback it's a passer rating of 97.0 or higher, for backs and receivers it's 85 yards from scrimmage.
With just two games left, I narrowed the field to the top five. Lamar Jackson will win if he plays well in a Ravens victory either of the next two weeks.  If he doesn't play well, or if the Ravens lose both games, any one of four players can tie him in the MVP race.

1. Lamar Jackson, QB, Ravens, 12-2, 11 MVP points
2. Chris Carson, RB, Seahawks, 11-3, 9
2. Kirk Cousins, QB, Vikings, 10-4, 9
2. Michael Thomas, WR, Saints, 11-2, 9
2. Russell Wilson, QB, Seahawks 11-3, 9
