2019 NFL MVP Chase rankings through Week 11

We have a new #1 in the MVP chase. One may say it's because he's played eleven games while most of the other contenders have played ten. Maybe he won't sit alone at the #1 spot for long.

But for right now, congratulations, Kirk Cousins!

To review: A player gets an MVP point if:
  • His team wins the game
  • He personally had a good game in those victories. It doesn't have to be a "great" game; for a quarterback it's a passer rating of 97.0 or higher, for backs and receivers it's 85 yards from scrimmage
Here are the top contenders:

1. Kirk Cousins, QB, Vikings, 8-3, 8
T2. Chris Carson, RB, Seahawks, 8-2, 7 MVP points
T2. Dalvin Cook, RB, Vikings, 8-3, 7
T2. Lamar Jackson, QB, Ravens, 8-2, 7
T2. Michael Thomas, WR, Saints, 8-2, 7
T2. Russell Wilson, QB, Seahawks 8-2, 7
7. Josh Jacobs, rb, Raiders, 6-4, 6

The following could enter the conversation if they play well and their teams win in the coming weeks. Listed alphabetically.

Derek Carr, QB, Raiders, 6-4, 5
Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, 49ers, 9-1, 5
Alvin Kamara, RB, Saints,8-2, 5
