College Football Playoff Race Standings, August 30 2019

Season-to-date playoff race points after the August 29 (Thursday) games. Teams not listed here will enter the rankings (which will ultimately include all FBS teams) once they've started playing games, win or lose. Teams tied at the same position are listed alphabetically.

I haven't explained my methodology, and may or may not reveal it as the season unfolds. I'll be interested to see how, after several weeks, my ranking will track with the mainstream polls and the Playoff Selection Committee, although won't be influenced by them.
