Four games involving six major college football (FBS) teams were played August 25, 2018. Two of the games involved FBS teams playing FCS teams. The FBS teams, UMass and Rice won, but in my method those wins don't count as a benefit to them; they essentially wasted a week (a loss to an FCS team, however would count heavily against an FBS team.
At this stage, I'm keeping my ranking method secret, but I will rank the six teams who have played so far:
1. Wyoming 1-0
2. Hawaii 1-0
3. UMass 1-0 (FCS win)
4. Rice 1-0 (FCS win)
5. Colorado State 0-1
6. New Mexico State 0-1
All six teams will also play in "Week One" of September 1st when most other teams begin play. I doubt any of these teams will hold their position a week from now.
