Championship Belt remains with the big boys

If Albany had beaten the Pitt Panthers today, the College Football Championship Belt would have moved into the FCS (Formerly known as the I-AA) division in which Albany normally competes. The FCS is composed of smaller schools and/or schools with smaller emphasis and budget for football. For example, Basketball power Villanova is in the FCS.

But there weren't a lot of "what ifs" today. Pitt dominated Albany 33-7.  The rest of Pitt's schedule is in the big-boy FBS division.

It was Pitt's first game, and first defense of the Belt, since winning taking it from Miami (FL) last November.
